Guinea government have temporarily banned beauty pageant in the country after contestants paraded in front of the Prime Minister in Bikini.

According to the Minister For Culture Siaka Barry, the government has placed a ban on beauty pageant until a new code of ethics is drawn adding that a committee have already been set up.
He added that the government has ended its contract with the organisers of the beauty pageant.
The event attracted a huge criticism on social media after the contestants paraded in front of the Prime Minister Mamady Youla.
Many have referred to the even as a shame and didn’t depict anything related to Guinean culture.
One publication, Flash Guinee, asked in its headline if the prime minister was encouraging prostitution.
