The Nigerian Customs Service has tracked 13 smuggled cars to the residence of a Kano State Senator.
According to NAN, The Compliance Task Force set up by the Controller General Hameed Ali impounded 233 vehicles based on intelligent report that they were smuggled through land Borders.

The Task Force Zonal Commander, Mr Bala Dole, who refused to name the Kano State Senator said 13 of the smuggled vehicles were tailed from Maigatari in Jigawa to a residence in Kano State which turned out to be the house of a Senator.
Among the vehicles impounded in the residence were 12 new Toyota Hilux and one Land Cruiser SUV.
“We sealed the house and retrieved the vehicles and they are now in our custody,” Dole said.
He also revealed food items worth N269.5 million have been confiscated in Kano and Jigawa states within eight months
