Uber taxi have been prohibited from operating in Italy after a suit was filed against the company.
According to reports, Uber was banned because the company used mobile app to locate its customers, a service the court said constituted unfair competition.

The ruling, which was in response to a lawsuit filed by Italy’s major traditional taxi associations, also prohibits Uber from promoting or advertising its services in Italy.
Uber was said to use mobile app to connect potential passengers with part time drivers off time and the fee is often cheaper than what major traditional taxi drivers charge.
This is not the first time Uber is experiencing such ban. The taxi company have faced such opposition in Brazil, Fance, Germany and India
