A research by Transportation Research has revealed United States residents are willing to pay extra $4000 for self driving cars.

Drivers are typically willing to fork over a $3,500 premium for partial automation and about $4,900 extra for “full automation,” said the report, citing a poll of almost 1,300 Americans. 
Many auto and tech industries have been investing lately on autonomous cars. While Google is in partnership with Waymu, Uber, Apple and many others  has also been investing aggressively in self-driving technology as well as working to ensure its affordable.
The research also revealed that less than 25% of American baby bumpers trust autonomous cars. While 41% of gen-X-ters trust autonomous cars 51% of youths trust autonomous cars
