Two Chinese nationals arrested for importing sub standard tyres were on Monday arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The two Chinese identified as Tao Shen, 36 and Jing Yau, 22 were charged alongside Chinedu Madubuike and two companies, Sino Nig. Import and Export Ltd. and Nedeca International Ltd were charged to court for the alleged act.
However, due to the absence of an interpreter the trial in court suffered a huge setback leading to the adjournment of the case by the sitting judge Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, to July 5th.
They were earlier arraigned on March 20 for a 4 count charge bordering importation of substandard tyre. They however pleaded not guilty and were granted N10 million bail with two sureties.
Recall that the Chinese nationals were arrested in march for importing sub standard tyres.
