Focus and Fiesta owners have filed a suit against American auto industry Ford over defective PowerShift transmissions.
According to report, over 7000 Ford focus and Ford fiesta owners filled a suite through Stern Law PLLC accusing Ford of the fault that plagued its owners in years.
The fault was said be noticed in  2012-16 Focus and 2011-16 Fiesta sedans having a faulty dual clutch that affects the changing of gear and premature internal wearing.
Also affecting the vehicles included shuddering, slipping, bucking, jerking, delays in downshifting and, in some cases, sudden or delayed acceleration due to the faulty dual clutch transmission.
In the suit filed with Wayne County Circuit Court on behalf of the affected owners, Stern Law PLLC said Ford should be held accountable for their designs and manufacturing defects.
“Ford must be held accountable for design and manufacturing defects of the PowerShift transmission that has compromised the safety of the vehicles and cost owners significant loss in vehicle value, reliable transportation and time,” Ken Stern, founder and principal of Stern Law PLLC, said in a statement.
