Swedish multinational auto manufacturing company, Volvo have commenced exporting of its S90 sedan manufactured in China to Europe
The manufacturing of the S90 sedan makes the auto industry the first auto to transport car to Belgium via a new train connection, and Volvo says it’s the first carmaker to use the train link to bring over cars from China.
Report has it that each train can accommodate up to 120 cars that is 3 S90s for a container. Volvo added that the cars are fitted inside the container in various angles to maximize space efficiency and then strapped snugly in place so they do not move or chafe during their long journey to Europe.
At the moment only one train leave from Volvo’s manufacturing plant in Daqinq for Europe but the auto industry is optimistic that the number trains will increase as production grows.
