One of the leading auto industries in the world Volkswagen said it will not sell its 2018 model of Volkswagen Polo in United States.
Volkswagen global sales boss Juergen Stackmann, speaking to newsmen in Berlin said the price level segment of Volkswagen Polo in US is ridiculously low.
He added that it wouldn’t make sense to bring a vehicle that is of high class into united states into a segment that is price driven.
“It doesn’t make too much sense for us to bring a car like this, which has the substance of a class higher, into a segment that is so price driven in America,” he said.
Stackmann said Volkswagen will however continue to offer the Golf as its entry-level model in the United States, particularly since half of all Golf sales locally are for the GTI version.
