Motorists in the state have been urged to key in into the service platform of the State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency to ensure fraud-free motor vehicle registration and documentation in the state.
General Manager, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, Lateef Adisa Lawal made the charge today in a chat with newsmen in his office .
According to him, the Agency has ninety-eight Motor Vehicle Registration Centres across the fifty seven Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the State to cope with vehicle registration issues, adding that the centres were strategically located to boost efficiency and effectiveness as well as guard against issuance of fake vehicle license and documents in the state.
The MVAA boss explained further that the Agency has Vehicle Number Plate Production Plant that can cope with peoples’ demand at any given period and within the shortest period of time noting that this has ensure that there was never shortage in the supply of the plates in the state.
He advised motorists to stop patronizing touts who may defraud them and complicate vehicle registration process adding that the Agency has also simplified its activities making it possible for anyone to verify authenticity of his number plate and documentation on the Agency’s websitewww.lsmvaapvs.org
Lawal added that the official rates for obtaining driving license is Six Thousand Naira only for the one with three year life span while the cost for obtaining the other with five year life span is Ten Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Naira only.
To this end, the General Manager admonished the citizenry to stop patronizing touts who may present themselves as government officials at various centres.
