Auto recall due to airbag flaws by the largest supplier of airbag to auto industries Takata has risen by 3.3 million following over 1 million recall by Toyota and Honda.

The recent recall by Toyota and Honda has increased the company’s recall to 34 million recalls since the discovery of the faulty airbag.

The latest round affects cars made by Honda, Toyota, Audi, BMW, Daimler Vans, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Jaguar-Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, and Tesla, and it covers certain vehicles built between 2009 and 2010 and some from 2013.
Investigation has revealed that the airbag can detonate without any impact and has resulted to 20 deaths and 180 injuries.

Since discovery of the flaw in 2013, recalls on 46 million inflators have been issued.
