Disaster was averted today at Nigeria’s busiest airport, the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos when an articulated tanker carrying 33,000 liters of Jet Fuel lost control and fell on it’s side, spilling its contents around the toll gate located near the airport.

According to Naija Loaded, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Lagos State Fire Service, the Nigerian Police and other emergency response agencies responded speedily to douse the situation.

The tanker with registration number: AAA 991 XQ, was coming from Ikeja axis and driving towards the international airport, lost control in the process of negotiating the sharp bend around the airport.
