It is not easy celebrating 250 years birthday. Trust me, it’is not. I know how many Christmases i have celebrated. More so if i were to have mates in turkeys, they would have all long been eaten many decades ago.

It is even much more difficult for businesses to survive after their first year of operations, so it is with great respect that we align with a global brand that is celebrating their 250th anniversary; Hennessey.
Kiss Daniel.
The drink maker dedicated 250 hours of great activities towards marking this epochal celebration and it culminated with her annual Hennessey Artistry musical concert. The Hennessey Artistry, an innovative musical platform which was started globally in 2006 by Hennessey to, in their words, “celebrate the vibrant multiculturalism of different genres. It combines contemporary, hip and inspirational music around the world”.
This year’s concert was headlined by some of Nigeria’s finest musical talents; Praiz, Burna Boy and Vector.

With this year’s theme, “Hennessey loves music”, it was very clear from their level of preparations and attention to details that truly, they love music as they provided the best of music to invited music lovers who thronged in their thousands to the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island venue of this year’s event.
Burna Boy.
The security and clearance into the venue was top notch, the ushers were effective, ensuring that all got a good taste of assorted blends of cocktails blended with Hennessey drinks. Then the musical acts who performed for the night lived up to the expectation.
One of the ushers.
Performances from Ycee, Tekno Miles, Kiss Daniel, Koker, Shina Peters, Jesse Jagz, Sugar Boy, Adekunle Gold, Sarz, Ice Prince, Naeto C, Praiz, Burna Boy, and Vector and two producer/D.Js- Chopstix and T.Y Mix were all electrifying.
Tekno Miles.
But the smooth transition between Koker and Sir Shina Peters was mind-blowing. The new act, Koker’s song; ‘Do Something‘ sounds much like some evergreen songs from the legend, SSP but that transition was still eclectic.
Sir Shina Peters.
Another performer who went beyond just performing was Jesse Jagz who displayed an intimidating mastery of playing of percussion instruments as he practically drummed to most of the songs he produced for other artistes before performing his own songs much to the delight of all.

Jesse Jagz.

It was a fun-filled night and as Hennessey preaches through her campaigns, drinking that night was responsibly done as what was served was light in alcohol content.

Oh, it was such a hitch-free event that the two fully equipped ambulances that were deployed for the night drove off in the early hours of Sunday morning without being needed.
Ice Prince.
We also salute the men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority who were deployed to help with traffic outside the event venue.
Tee Y Mix.
Hennessey, you guys rock.
We wish you a happy 250th anniversary and many more years of goodness.

Remember if you must drink, don’t drive.
If you drink, drink responsibly.
