The new 2018 infiniti QX50 displayed at the Detroit Auto show took the public by surprise with the almost production-ready improved infiniti model.

This improvement comes months after the automaker wowed us with the arrival of the QX Sport Inspiration idea at the 2016 Beijing Auto exhibition.

The current Infiniti QX50 design is not awful looking but rather the new design takes the hybrid SUV to a radical new level, styling-wise. The design is described by a muscular and upright stance, which makes the outgoing model look dull. The concept looks almost production ready, meaning the automaker may be planning to use it on the next generation QX50 crossover either for the 2018 or 2019 model years.

The concept of the exterior of 2018 Infiniti QX50 is similar to that of the QX Sport Inspiration since the two models share the similar shape and body lines with other features like a double-arch grille, a clamshell hood, crescent-cut D-pillar, a more vertical rear hatch as well as coupe-like roofline. I understand the vertical rear hatch is meant to add more practicability as it will create more cargo space. However, the QX50 concept is taller and wider compared with the QX Inspiration Sport concept and has replaced some of the extreme features of the QX Sport Inspiration with simpler designs.
Infiniti has exceeded expectations in accomplishing a harmony between giving solace and utility, which numerous automakers in this section neglect to accomplish. Infiniti has figured out how to outfit the hybrid with top of the line materials and yet leave adequate space for cargo and passengers.
Upholstery is choice; indeed, the automaker proceeded to patent its new style. Materials utilized incorporate leather and wood. According to Infiniti, every bit of wood or leather is connected with goal to make new upholstery trend in the excellent hybrid portion. Three sorts of leather (genuine leather, synthetic nubuck and semi-aniline) are utilized as a part of the cabin and are applied in different colour. White is highlighted on the dashboard, seats and door inserts; brown is used on the vehicle’s upper pilar and as well as the headliner while blue is applied for the mid-lines and center console.

The model also features a new graphic user interface for the infotainment system with info readouts for the audio system, navigation, an array of driving aids as well as the status of the model’s VC-Turbo power-plant. Cameras, radar and laser are mounted at strategic locations on the vehicle to enable easy driving and lane assist.

2018 Infiniti QX50 is fitted with variable Compression Turbo mill which enables it deliver a high output when needed while still keeping fuel efficiency optimal. The engine will produce 268 horses and 288 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to an intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
Inifiniti QX50 will be available for purchase in 2018 as a 2019 model.
