TREAT RUST SPOT IMMEDIATELY
Cars are metal and thus virtual all parts of the body are prone to rust. However the manufacturers coated the metal with paint thus preventing the interaction of the agents of rust. A scratch on the body paint of the car is obviously a spot for rust as it has exposed the metal to air and water. Thus its important you repaint any scratch on your car as soon as possible to prevent the rust from expanding to other parts of the car.
REGULAR WASHING AND WAXING
Thorough washing of your car regularly is another step to preventing rusting of the car bodies. Dirts and muds on the car bodies has potentials of wearing off the car paint and exposing the metals to rust. The importance of waxing on the other hand should be over emphasized. It is necessary to wax your car at least twice a year as it will help prevent rusting.
CLEAN UP ALL THE SPILLINGS WITHIN YOUR CAR
Despite the fact that rusting is due to the interaction between air, water and metal, rusting could also result from the internal parts of the vehicle. This could be as a result of spilling of water and liquid inside the vehicle without properly mopping it off. This liquids could result to rusting in the car.
