The Federal Road Safety Corps has revealed they have arrested nothing less than 130 drivers without speed limiter in Eket, Akwa Ibom.
According to Mr Nicholas Akueme, , the Unit Commander in Eket, revealed this in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria at Iket on Tuesday.
He added that the Corps is working tirelessly to see that drivers heed to the law and that defaulters are being punished by the book.
“Motorists are complying but not much and we have not relented in our efforts to bring defaulters to book.
“So far, we have arrested 130 commercial drivers for refusal to install the device on their vehicles,” Akueme said.
“The only problem we have is commercial drivers, these are the ones that are having low level compliance,” he said.
