Despite carrying out their production activities in United States, Tesla has moved south across the border to Mexico to recruit talented engineers.
According to Reuters, a host of Mexican engineers were invited for a job in United States so as to increase Tesla’s workforce.
Tesla held a series of interviews in Monterrey, Mexico for new engineering talent, Reuters reports.
Report also has it that Tesla turned down every opportunity to comment adding that journalists were sent out of the interview venue.
Recall that Tesla earlier revealed that they will be needing more workforce as they commence production of Tesla’s affordable Model 3 this year.
The company further stated that they intend to produce up to 500,000 cars yearly by 2018.
