America’s auto giant Ford has on Monday sacked nothing less than 20,000 salaried workers.
According to reports, Ford who earlier has 202,000 workers sacked 10% of their work force due to slow sales of Ford vehicles after several years of growth.

Ford was said to have recorded a sales of 214,695 vehicles, that is 7.2 percent fewer than the sales same time last year.
Mike Moran, Ford spokesman however refused to comment on rumours of staff reduction in Ford auto industry. He however said the American company is working towards fortifying its profit pillars and minimizing costs.
Mike Moran said; “The company’s immediate goals include fortifying the profit pillars in our core business, transforming traditionally underperforming areas of our core business and investing aggressively, but prudently, in emerging opportunities.”
To that end, Ford will make efforts at “reducing costs and becoming as lean and efficient as possible,”
“We have not announced any new people efficiency actions, nor do we comment on speculation,” he said.
