Italian Automobile company Ares Design has offered customers a refurbished version of the legendary sports car C2 Corvette Stingray in 1964 with the modern LS3 V8 engine from Corvette C6 (2005-2013).
The essence of the new project Ares Design is quite simple. By order of the customer, the company takes the original Corvette Stingray of the C2 generation and brings it to modern standards. The main change is the installation of a 6.2-liter V8 engine with the LS3 index.
This engine produces 518 horsepower. The traction on the rear wheels is transmitted using a five-speed manual gearbox and a differential Viper Hammerhead.
Together with a modern engine, Ares Design engineers installed new wiring, a special fuel tank and an exhaust system in the original body. In the body of the wheel arches were changed.
The body of the sports car was painted with black Gloss Black paint. Head optics equipped with LED lamps. In the salon, the seats were repaired and covered with new leather. The instrument panel received LED-backlighting.
Also installed is an Alpine stereo with a 500-watt amplifier, USB ports and a Bluetooth connection.
The car was “put” on 19-inch alloy wheels in front and on the same, but a diameter of 20 inches, from the rear.
