Ford has recalled some 350,000 F-150s and 2018 Expeditions equipped with either the 6-speed automatic or the 10-speed automatic.

The problem is that the part that ensures that the gear selector cable allows it to be locked in the desired position can malfunction, which can cause the transmission to be in a gear. other than the one chosen by the driver.

Ford issues the following warning: “The driver may place the shift lever in the off position and even if he removes the key, the transmission may not be in the off position, without any message from him. alert is transmitted even when the driver’s door is opened.

The company says it is aware of at least one accident with injuries caused by this problem.

In total, 350,000 vehicles will need to be repaired.
