In a recent event, a Saudi family that went missing last week in the desert south of Al-Dawadmi after their car got stuck in the sand was rescued after spending 24 hours lost in that unforgiving desert.

They had no food, water, or telephone signal. They survived by drinking water from the car’s radiator and eating plant leaves. After more than 24 hours, they were found about 50 km away from their last known location, near the Halban Desert.
The rescue was led by the Saudi volunteer team Enjad, who used drones and ground search teams to cover the vast area. When the family was found, some members were dehydrated but in stable condition. The team gave them food, water, and medical care, and all family members were safely rescued.
