The annual USA independence anniversary was celebrated a few days ago at the American Consul General’s residence in Lagos.
Every Fourth of July, across the United States, millions of Americans reflect on values that have defined them for nearly 250 years: freedom, excellence, and opportunity. These ideals not only fuel their national spirit but also underpin their international relations.

The Acting Consul General JoEllen Gorg welcomed the groups of people who were there to celebrate with them.
As part of her speech, she remarked; “today, as we celebrate American independence, we also celebrate our enduring partnership with Nigeria. A partnership rooted in expanded economic opportunity, deepened commercial engagement, and long-term mutual prosperity.
