CONDOLENCE MESSAGE BY THE CORPS MARSHAL, FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS, SHEHU MOHAMMED, mni, FCA, FCTA, CPFA, ON THE PASSING OF FORMER CORPS MARSHAL, DAUDA ALI BIU

It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of our revered former Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, FCNA, CPA, NPOM. His death is a painful loss not only to his immediate family and loved ones but also to the Federal Road Safety Corps, the road safety community and our dear nation, Nigeria.

Late Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu was a distinguished officer whose career embodied dedication, discipline and an enduring commitment to public service. Having joined the Corps in its formative years, he rose through the ranks to become the seventh substantive Corps Marshal, serving from July 2022 to May 2024. His years of service reflected a deep understanding of the Corps’ mandate and a steadfast commitment to advancing road safety administration, operational effectiveness and institutional development.

As a former head of this great Corps, he occupied a place of honour in our institutional history. His contributions to the growth and development of the FRSC remain part of the collective legacy upon which we continue to build. His passing is therefore not merely the loss of a former leader; it is the loss of a colleague, a seasoned professional and a compatriot who devoted a significant part of his life to the service of humanity and the safety of Nigerians.

On behalf of the Management and the entire workforce of the Federal Road Safety Corps, I extend my deepest condolences to his immediate family, friends, associates and all those whose lives he touched. We share in their grief at this difficult moment and pray that Almighty God grants them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

May Allah forgive his Shortcomings and grant him with Paradise (Aljannah)

Rest in peace, Dauda Ali Biu. Your service to the nation will not be forgotten
